Post Earthquake Evaluation of Buildings in Malachi, Nepal

Engineers Without Borders/Service Comps / All Hands Volunteers
Following the 7.8 and 7.3 magnitude earthquakes in Nepal in  April and May 2015, we came alongside a team of engineers and All Hands volunteers to assess and report on the structural condition of several homes and school buildings. We helped write a procedure manual for the safe demolition of partially collapsed buildings, and assisted in the demolition of buildings.

In association with Engineers Without Borders, we provided structural mentoring, assisted in structural design and construction with the UW-Platteville Engineers Without Borders chapter of a four building, elementary school between 2011 to 2016 at the completion of school, including four trips to Ghana.
