Project Engineer

Project Engineer Role Summary

As a Project Engineer, you will often be the lead Structural Engineer on your assigned projects, performing structural design as well as oversight to a Design Engineer and Structural Technician.  Your role will be to provide knowledge and expertise to the team designated to execute a through, quality product for Ambrose clients.  You will work closely with the Project Manager, and as a team you will be responsible for project management and execution, as well as client relationships.

Our ideal candidate will have the follow qualifications:

  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s Degree in Structural Engineering or related discipline required
    • Master’s Degree in Structural Engineering desirable
  • 5+ years structural engineering experience
  • Registration Status:
    • PE registration required (any state ok, WI preferred)
    • SE registration (any state) a plus
  • Experience in the following industries desired:
    • Education
    • Commercial/Office
    • Industrial
    • Religious
    • Retail
    • Multi-Family Residential
    • Forensic
  • Design experience desired in the following areas:
    • Steel
    • Concrete
    • Masonry
    • Wood
    • Cold-Formed Steel
    • Deep Foundations
  • Understanding of the International Building Code
  • Strong experience with the following:
    • Revit
    • Structural Analysis software (RAM Suite, TEDDS, Enercalc, WoodWorks, etc.)
    • Microsoft Office
  • The desire and experience to  provide our clients efficient, innovative and economical engineering solutions to their projects.
  • The ability to effectively work in  a team environment with other engineers and structural technicians.
